About Ann

Ann Brough is the author of family-saga “historical fiction” that are all based on true stories, set in England between the late nineteenth to the mid-twentieth century. In her early seventies, Ann wrote her first novel, The Prussian Captain, and followed it up with The Welsh Guardsman, and then The Bitter Sweet Life of Annie Jenkins.  

Ann lives in Manitoba, Canada, in a beautiful lake community called Lester Beach, on Lake Winnipeg, with her husband David.

She has three wonderful children and five incredibly wonderful grand children, between the ages of seven and twenty. Her home is filled with family, love and lots of sand every summer. It’s everybody’s favourite place to be!

She was born in 1944 and immigrated to Canada in 1967 and again in 1978, with a seven year residence in England during that time.
